Stanford Hacks

A working document of things I wish I knew earlier. To be updated!
- If you're a person who hates having your phone with you, you can create a passkey for Duo Push from your laptop such that you won't ever have to use the Duo Push app again. You can do this with TouchID or do it like I do with password management systems like 1Password.
- FloMo has acai + salmon bagels every weekday morning / weekend brunch!
- If you don't show up for your first two PWR classes your PWR is automatically moved to next quarter. Some students I know do this because they don't plan to graduate, or would just like to move their section. I'm pretty sure this is the same for COLLEGE, feel free to let me know.
- CS class prerequisites are fake (not enforced)
- Physics prerequisites seem to be quite strict
- There's a bunch of cool seminars each quarter that you can just audit. They might not be well known like ETL, so ask upperclassmen / PhD students. APPHYS 293 (A modern explainable AI approach to Theoretical Neuroscience) last quarter was great! I plan to go to POLISCI 316M (Global Futures: History, Statecraft, Systems) sometimes this quarter.
